A public Sikh directory and a separate, moderator-reviewed matrimonial app for the global Sikh community.

Why we built this

Existing matrimonial platforms feel transactional. They emphasize keyword filters and paid visibility over authenticity. Sikh Center is the platform we wanted to exist for our own families: moderator-reviewed profiles (age is self-declared, then checked on the server — not a government ID check), private messaging, and family-friendly matchmaking — without the noise. The public directory is a separate product: Punjabi-speaking businesses, professionals, schools, and public figures, compiled from public records and community submissions.

How the matrimonial app works

1. Create a profile. Share what you want to share, no more.
2. Browse profiles matched to your preferences.
3. Express interest privately. The other person decides whether to reply.
4. Message directly once both sides are open.

Sikh Center is operated by the team behind gurdwaras.com, the directory of Sikh places of worship. The two products share nothing technically — separate accounts, separate data, separate privacy boundaries — but a common commitment to building things our community can trust.
